Canonium Learning Trust is a Primary Multi Academy Trust in Essex, serving a growing family of Church of England and community schools across Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring and the Essex–Suffolk border areas.

Canonium was established as a majority Church of England (CofE) governed Multi Academy Trust, meaning our Christian foundation shapes our values, informs our long-term vision and underpins our purpose of giving every child the very best education possible.

Our governance structure enables us to work in partnership with both Church of England (VA or VC) and community schools, respecting the distinctiveness of each local setting while strengthening collective capacity, shared expertise and sustainable leadership.

As a charitable educational trust, we provide strong governance, rigorous and responsible financial stewardship, school improvement expertise and operational leadership that enable our schools to flourish together.
